Author Biography

  • Ulla Musarra-Schrøder, Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen/KU Leuven

    Ulla Musarra-Schroder has taught comparative literature at the University of Aarhus from 1967 to 1969, and Scandinavian literatures at the universities of Groningen, Amsterdam, and Utrecht. From 1975 to 2001 she taught literary studies at the University of Nijmegen, and from 2000 to 2004 at the University of Leuven. She specialises in literary theory and modern and contemporary narrative. She has published numerous articles on Italian writers, including Svevo, Pirandello, Calvino, Eco, and Magris. Some of her books are: Le roman-mémoire moderne, Amsterdam 1981; Narciso e lo specchio. Il romanzo in prima persona, Rome 1989; Il labirinto e la rete. Percorsi moderni e postmoderni nell'opera di Italo Calvino, Rome 1996; Italo Calvino fra i cinque sensi, Florence 2010. A volume on the novels of Umberto Eco is forthcoming.
